About the Petco Foundation
At the Petco Foundation, we believe that every animal deserves to live its best life. Since 1999, we've invested more than $175 million in lifesaving animal welfare work to make that happen. With our more than 4,000 animal welfare partners, we inspire and empower communities to make a difference by investing in adoption and medical care programs, spay & neuter services, pet cancer research, service & therapy animals, and numerous other lifesaving initiatives. Through our think Adoption First program, we partner with Petco stores and animal welfare organizations across the country to increase pet adoptions. So far, we've helped more than 5 million pets find their new loving families, and we're just getting started. Visit petcofoundation.org to learn more about how you can get involved.
The generous 2015 grant from Maddie's Fund has helped us to save more lives! A HUGE thank-you to Maddie's Fund!
Maddie's Fund was founded in 1994 to revolutionize the status and well-being of companion animals. The Foundation inspired by Maddie, a Miniature Schnauzer, has awarded more than $172 million in grants toward the goal of achieving a no-kill nation where all healthy and treatable shelter dogs & cats are guaranteed a loving home.
In November 2015, Maddie's Fund generously awarded Long Beach Humane Society with a $2,000 grant. The grant assisted us in having our "2nd Annual Wet Your Whiskers" fundraiser. With the support from Maddie's Fund and the generousity of the community, Long Beach Humane Society was able to achieve our goals to continue to save lives from kill shelters, increase awareness of the importance of spay/neuter and of course, adopt our adorable furr-babies to good loving homes.
